The Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group,  was founded in March 2023 as one of the six major independently run business groups under Alibaba Group.

It was previously Alibaba Group’ international commerce division. The Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group is committed to promoting global trade and e-commerce with AI-powered technology. It operates various digital platforms with distinctive business models, covering multiple countries and regions around the world.

In the business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce segment, the Alibaba International is dedicated to developing both cross-border commerce and local commerce models. It currently runs six B2C e-commerce platforms, including:

• AliExpress, a platform serving global consumers
• Tmall Taobao World, a cross-border platform for Chinese outside mainland China
• Lazada, a Southeast Asian platform headquartered in Singapore and serving six countries
• Trendyol, a platform headquartered in Türkiye and serving mainly European consumers
• Daraz, a South Asian platform headquartered in Pakistan and serving five countries
• Miravia, a Spanish platform

In addition, the Alibaba International operates Alibaba.com, a global online business-to-business (B2B) marketplace connecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in international trade with buyers worldwide. The Alibaba International currently serves in excess of 305 million consumers outside mainland China. In the quarter ended March 31, 2023, AIDC was one of the fastest-growing business segments of Alibaba Group, recording more than RMB18.5 billion (around US$2.7 billion) in revenue and a year-on-year revenue growth of 29%.
