Internship Opportunity at Carlyle Korea

Carlyle Korea is looking to offer a 6-month internship opportunity in our Seoul office.  Selected candidate is expected to begin his/her internship in around February 2023, and will be provided with the opportunity to closely work with Carlyle Korea investment professionals over the course of the internship.

During the internship, Carlyle offers training on financial analysis, technical skills and industry study.  Intern will have opportunities to assist the team in conducting market research and analyzing investment opportunities which are the essential process in Carlyle’s investment decision and value creation for our investors.

Position Qualifications

We target a candidate who is team-oriented, mission-driven, and with strong written and spoken communication skills in Korean and English.  A preferred candidate who has great desire to learn,  strong analytical and quantitative skills, solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, strong interpersonal skill, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and work both independently and within teams.  Prior internship experience in private equity, investment banking or consulting firm is highly preferred.

Position Description & Responsibilities

The Internship role is a 6-month position based in Carlyle’s Asia Buyout team in Korea.  Intern will closely work with the team members to conduct research, analysis and evaluation of potential investment opportunities in public and private companies across diverse industries; assist in all aspects of due diligence including financial, commercial, legal, tax and accounting; prepare various presentation materials and memos for internal communication and execution process, and assist in monitoring current investments.
