Visual Designer (Internship)

 

ODK Media, Inc. is an online streaming media service provider.  Our core Platforms, OnDemandKorea.com, OnDemandChina.com, OnDemandViet.com

We are currently looking for a self-motivated designer to join our growing team as 3~12 months internship program. 

You will be responsible for creating visual outputs for our Korea division through innovation and unconventional thinking.  

You will create templates for configurable posters, title art, digital landing pages, social posts, and digital marketing materials. 

You understand and love producing "to spec" mechanicals but can also think outside the norm to help us take our brand to the next level.  

We are looking for creative and diverse individuals who are passionate about redefining content through innovation, unconventional thinking, and embracing fun!

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Work with content operation team to create/re-create content poster display materials

·       Work with marketing and brand creative team to understand overarching strategy and create promotional materials to build awareness and incite engagement

·       Perform series of a/b tests to analyze and measure design performances to raise the current bar of creative standards and user engagements

·       Support lead designs in pre-production conceptual stage such as key arts, storyboard, style frames for feature content series and originals 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

• Must have an online portfolio with a link that demonstrates strong graphic design skills

•  Fluent in Korean and English

•   A positive attitude and a good sense of humor is mandatory.

•  You are a recent grad or you are in your last year of school. Preferably in design, graphics or advertising related fields

•  flexible to work in Fullerton, CA. Must be able to visit office twice a week (hybrid)

•  Proficiency with photo retouch and photo manipulation with graphic design software packages – Adobe Suite: Photoshop and  Illustrator

•  You have an excellent eye for composition layout skills utilizing photo, typography, and colors to deliver marketing campaign, and content poster artworks.

•  Love for Korean and Asian content

•   Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

 

 

 

NICE TO HAVE

•   Experience in video production(edits or motion design) or CMS (Wordpress, Wix, etc) with HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus

•   Experience with entertainment industry, TV production, digital streaming or equivalent career background is nice to have but not required

 

 

UI Designer (Internship)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate directly with UX designers, product managers, developers and multiple teams to deliver high quality product UI experience.
  • Develop standard UI components and design systems on different platforms (web, iOS, android, tvOS etc.).
  • Analyze user data from various usability testing tools to optimize designs.
  • Address product, marketing and business needs by providing smooth, intuitive design solutions.
  • Effectively communicate your designs to developers and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the QA team to make sure features are implemented as intended.
  • Conduct industry research and stay up-to-date on best practices, competitor UI designs and emerging technologies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, InVision, Sketch etc..
  • Bachelor’s degree or above - preferably in design, graphics fields.
  • Love for Korean and Asian content.
  • Must have an online portfolio with a link that demonstrates strong UI design skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse location teams under tight deadlines.
