About Anchor Equity Partners:

 

Anchor Equity Partners is a private equity fund that manages over US$5 billion, focusing on buyout, growth capital, and industry consolidation opportunities in the Asia Pacific Region. The investment team is predominantly comprised of former investment professionals from Goldman Sachs Principal Investment Area team with more than 18 years of experience in the Asian private equity industry. In all of its investments, Anchor focuses on closely partnering with the right management teams and shareholders to work on strategic and operational issues. Through these partnerships, Anchor strives to create value for shareholders through synergies achieved through operational improvements, new revenue initiatives and corporatization.

 

Anchor Equity Partner is currently looking for Research Analyst (“RA”) (s) to join the team.

 

Program Period:

 

Start date is ASAP. Program expected to last approximately 3 ~ 6 months (negotiable on a case by case basis). Successful candidates with exceptional performance during the RA program will be considered for a full-time analyst position.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

The RA(s) will have a unique opportunity to work with highly seasoned and successful investment professionals in the Asian private equity industry and will support the team in various stages of a private equity investment such as:

 

Industry and Corporate Studies: Identify potential investment opportunities through a rigorous screening and research process and brief the team

 

Financial Analysis: Develop company valuations and create/analyze financial models

 

Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth analysis of target companies

 

Qualifications:

 

Strong passion for corporate investing

 

History of outstanding academic achievement

 

Prior internship experience in private equity investing, general investment banking or consulting background is preferred but is not required

 

Fluency in English is a must, both written and verbal

 

Strong problem solving and analytical skills supported by good reasoning in formulating investment views

 

Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and handle multiple assignments effectively

 

Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability and communication skill to work effectively with team members

 

High level of professionalism, maturity, confidence and judgment

 

Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
