JOB DESCRIPTION – Equity Analyst

 

Petra Capital Management is seeking a value-oriented Equity Analyst who will join a growing team of investment professionals with an outstanding track record of success in Korea and a network of value investors around the world. The Equity Analyst will be based in Seoul, Korea and take an active role in researching and performing fundamental analysis to support the Firm’s long-biased hedge fund strategy.

 

Responsibilities will include:

1        Conduct in-depth company and industry research

2        Perform due diligence and financial analysis

3         Use financial models for financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples based on analysis

4         Prepare written materials to support investment theses

 

Candidate must possess the following background and skill sets:

1        A college degree from top-tier academic institutions

2        A good understanding of value investing and having read The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham

3        3~4 years’ experience relevant to equity research and analysis

4        Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines

5        Willingness to work long hours and be a team player

6        Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

7        High motivation, great attitude and attention to detail

8         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

9     Fluency in Korean is required
