This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Analyst to join the Corio’s rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. Corio was developed under the Green Investment Group and remains a subsidiary of Macquarie Group (Australia’s largest investment bank) so we have strong financial support to drive the business forward

As an Analyst / Associate based in Seoul and reporting to the Head of South Korea Region, you will work closely together with an experienced team of investment professionals on a wide range of corporate finance activities for our offshore wind business in Korea, including mergers & acquisitions, divestment, execution of strategic initiatives, business plan development, financial due diligence, bid management, and debt and equity financing arrangement.

You will be provided with the opportunity to build a strong local network within the offshore wind markets and contribute meaningfully to the origination and development of Corio’s projects worldwide.

 

Responsibilities

The Analyst / Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to

• Taking a lead role in origination – evaluate and execute new investment opportunities

• Taking a lead role in divestment – negotiate contract terms, devise transaction structure, coordinate with professional advisors and execute the transaction

• Preparing reports and deliverables to obtain internal approval including but not limited to the investment committee

• Performing financial analysis, valuation and financial modeling to evaluate and support investment decisions and project development activities

• Managing and communicating with financial advisors to arrange debt and equity financing

• Leading project management by liaising with dynamic and multi-disciplinary teams, partners as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success

• Providing ad hoc market analysis to support new existing projects or new origination opportunities

 

Requirements

• You will have an outstanding academic record in accounting, finance, or a relevant discipline

• A Bachelor's degree is required for this role and majors in business administration, mathematics, economics, finance, law or other quantitative fields are preferred

• Strong understanding of financial modelling and at least 2-4 years of relevant experience working within investment banking, private equity, accounting firm, renewable development, or project finance

• Previous exposure to the renewable energy sector will be considered favourably

• Fluency in English and Korean (both written and verbal) is essential
