1. 초빙 분야 및 인원

○ 국어교사 또는 전임강사 1명

○ 외국인 영어 전임강사 1명

※ 적격자가 없을 경우 선발하지 않을 수 있음

 

2. 지원 자격

가) 국어교사 또는 전임강사

○ 관련 분야 석사학위 이상 소지자 또는 2023년 2월 석사학위 취득 예정자

○ 교원자격증 유무에 관계 없이 지원 가능

나) 외국인 영어전임강사

○ 관련 분야 석사학위 이상 소지자 또는 2023년 2월 석사학위 취득 예정자

○ 국·공립학교 교사 급여의 1.3배 또는 1.5배 급여 지급

SEEKING TEACHERS

 

Korean Minjok Leadership Academy (KMLA), a residential high school in South Korea, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time English teacher. Located two hours outside of Seoul in the serene mountains of Gangwon Province, KMLA is a coed, independent secondary school for gifted students of Korean heritage with grades 10 through 12. KMLA was founded in 1996 to cultivate global leaders by training their academic mind and moral character. Each year, about half of our graduates attend top tier universities in Korea and the other half attends top tier universities and colleges in the U.S.A. and other countries. Qualifications

 Native or native-level English speaker

 English Teacher : Undergraduate degree in English or related fields; M.A. or Ph. D. / preferred

 

Responsibilities

 English Teacher : Primary responsibilities include: (1) teaching English Reading, Speaking, Debating, Composition, AP English Language, AP English Literature; and (2) being an active member in the Foreign Language Department and school community.

 

Commencement of Duty

We would prefer a candidate who can start teaching on February 1, 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.

 

Benefits

 The salary range (호봉제) follows that of Korean national and public school teachers. KMLA pays 1.3 times base salary range of Korean school teachers. The table below is an example.
