Position: Analyst/Research Analyst (“RA”)

Job Location: Seoul

Align Partners is composed of team of experienced investment professionals who have accumulated many years of intensive investment experience in Korea at leading global IB/PEs. Align Partners aims to initiate a new strategy fund to acquire a significant minority stake in undervalued public companies and implement PE style approach to act as a value-add partner to maximize shareholder value at exit.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Analyst/RA(s) will have a unique opportunity to work with highly seasoned and successful investment professionals in Korea and will support the team in various stages of investment process.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

·        Identifying investment opportunities through a rigorous screening and research process

·        Constructing and maintaining detailed company specific financial and valuation models

·        Conducting in-depth research and analysis of industry trend and competitive dynamics

·        Conducting conference calls and meetings with industry experts, consultants, competitors, suppliers and customers

 

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate would demonstrate the following:

 

Experience:

·        Analyst: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, equity research

·        RA(s): Prior internship experience in private equity investing, investment banking or consulting background is preferred but is not required

·        Certified Investment Manager (투자자산운용사) is highly preferred

 

 

Qualifications:

·        Strong problem solving and analytical skills supported by good reasoning in formulating investment views

·        Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and handle multiple assignments effectively

·        Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability and communication skill to work effectively with team members

·        High level of professionalism, maturity, confidence and judgment

·        Intellectual curiosity coupled with strong commercial sense

·        Native level of language skills in Korean and fluent in English
