About the business division

As part of the Investment Bank, the Capital Markets business is a specialist product coverage area that operates as a partner between Corporate Finance industry coverage areas and Fixed Income & Currencies to provide clients with an array of capital raising services. Our clients include financial institutions, governments, government agencies and large corporates.

 

We advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. Capital Markets is comprised of four product areas: Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Debt Capital Markets (LDCM) and Strategic Equity Transactions Group (SETG).  

 

About the role 

The Capital Markets program is made up of four key business lines: Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Debt Capital Markets (LDCM) and the Strategic Equity Transactions Group (SETG). The desks provide clients advice on raising capital mainly through Debt Capital Markets product for growth or refinancing needs of Issuers. 

 

The role will focus on the origination and execution of Debt Capital Markets transactions across an array of currencies. This role will require a close partnership with Origination and Advisory industry coverage areas and will also see you working closely with a broad range of product partners.

We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines. Even though good levels of numeracy are important for some roles, you won’t necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial background. • Participate in the origination and execution of debt capital market financing mandates
• Prepare high quality marketing presentations
• Handling day to day client queries on all execution related matters
• Attend client meetings including execution and pitches
• Deal documentation and internal approvals
• Driving execution related matters for mandated transactions in an efficient manner
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business, including other Investment Banking sector teams, global colleagues, and corporate bank to drive delivery of Deutsche Bank’s broad global platform
• Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st January 2025 and 31st July 2026. 
• Be able to start full time work in January 2026, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements. 
• Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience.
